CHANGING YOUR PASSCODE:
• Press the P-LOCK button
• Enter your Parental Lock-Out code (Factory
Default is 2999)
• Press MEM button
• All Parental Lock-out channels are deactivated and available for viewing
• Press the P-LOCK button, enter your new secret 4 digit passcode, then press the F+ button

Waming: Make sure you write your new passcode down and secure it in a safe place. if you forget your passcode, please call us for master reset.



   

SPECIAL MODES V1, V2, V3, SP:
The VI, V2, V3, and SP keys are used to turn on special application softwares of specific application cards which can be installed inside the converter.

A corresponding indicator for each of the 4 special applications will light up on the front panel of the converter to indicate its status.



 

APPLICATION OF VI

To set the status, of Vl
• Select the channel that requires the application of V1.

• Press VI key and the corresponding VI irdicator turns
on to irdicate the status of VI.
• Press MEM key , then F+ key within 3 seconds to store the status in the memory.

To reset the status of VI
• Press V I key again and the VI indicator turns off to Indicate the status of VI.
• Press MEM key , then F+ key within 3 seconds to store the new status in the memory.



 

APPLICATION OF V2

To set the status of V2
• Select the channel that requires the application of V2. • Press V2 key and the corTespondingV2 indicator turns on to indicate the status of V2.
• press MEM key, then F+ key within 3 seconds to store the status in the memory.

To reset the status of V2
• Press V2 key again and the V2 indicator turns off to indicate the status of V2.
• Press MEM key, then F+ key vathin 3 seconds to store the new status in the memory.


 

Application of V3 / SP
• Press V2 key again and the V2 indicator turns off to indicate the status of V2.





















 

CHANNEL SCAN UP/DOWN


These features are common to both the converter and the remote control. They allow you to scan up or down through channels one at a time in numerical order. Holding either of these buttons down will cause the coNvERTER to rapidly scan up/down until it is released.

To set the status of V2
Select the channel that requires the application of V2. • Press V2 key and the corTespondingV2 indicator turns on to indicate the status of V2.
• press MEM key, then F+ key within 3 seconds to store the status in the memory.

To reset the status of V2
Press V2 key again and the V2 indicator turns off to indicate the status of V2.
• Press MEM key, then F+ key vathin 3 seconds to store the new status in the memory.

Scan Up
Momentarily press CHA (Channel up) to scan to the next highest channel.
• When the highest channel is reached, scanning will start again on the lowest channel.

ScanDown
• Momentarily press CHV (Channel down) to scan to the next lowest channel.
• When the lowest channel is reached, scanning will start again on the highest channel.

DIRECT CHANNEL SELECTION:
This feature allows you to select the channel of your choice by pressing the numbers 0 through 9. on your remote control keypad.

Channels 1-12 (example, channel 9)
Enter 009 to change instantly
• Enter 09 and the channel will change after two seconds
• Enter 9 and the channel will change after two seconds

Channels 13-99 (example: channel 99)
Enter 099 to change instantly
• Enter 99 to change instantly

Channels 100-125 (example: channel 125)
Enter 125 to change instantly

 

 

FINE TUNING UP/DOWN (F+/F-):

When you first install your converter, you may need to adjust the fine tuning. Make sure your converter is installed correctly and set on the proper IRC/MC/STD setting. if the equipment is not hooked up correctly, fine tuning will not produce the desired picture.

Fine Tune Up
• Press the F+ button and hold it down until the desired picture quality is reached, then release it.

Fine Tune Down
• Press the F- button and hold it down until the desired picture quality is reached, then release.



 

CENTER, FINE TUNE BUTTON
The Center Fine Tuning circuitry is set up to bring the picture to the center of the cable channel tuningband. Thisfeatureisautomaticwhen changing channels or can be activated manually by pr ssing the center fine tune button on the remote control.

Center Fine Tuning a channel
• Point the remote control toward the coNvmTER and press the Center Fine Tune button (CFr).

Note: In some cases the Center Fine Tune button may not bring the picture in correctly. This is usually caused by the misalignment of your cable companies signals. If this is the case, additional tuning is required, read F+, F-

 

 

VOLUME UP/DOWN
The CONVERTER has built in volume control which works in conjunction with your televisions volume control. To initially set volume level, set the volume on the TV to mid-range, then use the VA button to turn up the CONVERTER volume level as loud as it will go. Then use your CONVERTER VV button to decrease the volume to a comfortable listening level.

Note: The volume level on the CONVERTER must be at least half way up to process stereo signal and all the way up (maximum) to process surround sound.

Volume Up
• Press the VA button and hold it in until the desired volume is reached

Volume Down
• Press the VV button and hold it in until the desired volume is reached

Note: if you don't have audio, or the audio level is very low check your TV's audio level. it must be turned up approximately half way. Also check the mute feature on the

CONVERTER or TV in case it was accidentally activated.
Then turn the volume level up on the CONVERTER.



 

MUTE:
This feature allows you to temporarily mute the audio.

Mute Audio
• Press the mute button

Resume Audio
• Press the mute button again
